30mph
Here she is at top speed on second day out- after break in. Approximately 30mph according to my fish finder.

Adjusting Trim
Figuring out the correct trim angle for the boat/motor. I finally got it pretty well figured.

Bow canopy mock-up.
This is fake image of a bow canopy I was considering making. Looked a little too crapped up for the wife, so no go.

On trailer- Bob's house
Finished on trailer across the street at my buddy's house getting air in my tires.

6 mph.
About 6 mph.

8mph
About 8 mph.

Me and Jen at the messabout.
My wife and I taking a run out at the messabout. Photo by Al Ball.

Pregnant mommy on bow seat.
My wife on the big bow seat (showing off my unborn daughter Chloe) at the messabout.

Klaus, Gail and Al come along for a ride.
Al Ball's wife Gail and his dog Klaus. We, all six of us, took a little trip out at the messabout. (Al, Gail, Klaus, Jennifer, unborn Chloe and me)

Sunset on Lake Shirley.
Kicking back on Lake Shirley after doing a little bass fishing. My buddy snapped the shot. I like sitting on the quarter seats in the rear too, and dangling my feet in the water while I fish. Sweeeet!

Dockside at the messabout
Me and Jen hanging out at the messabout, talking to Marc Bourassa, his wife Barb and Al's wife Gail. You can see how light the boat is, with Jen in the bow seat (pregnant weight 130lbs) the transom rises up by about 1-2". That's a lightweight boat. Check out the white spray rails.

Parting Shot
First day out, taken by my buddy from his boat. Shows how nice and beamy this model is. It's very roomy for a 13' boat.

Jay-Sea, named after my wife and daughter- Jennifer (Jay) and Chloe (Sea (C))
My PK78 named for my wife and daughter- in a round about way. Jay (Jennifer) Sea (for C or Chloe). A long way to go? Maybe, but I like it.

Another shot. Still have to make the centerboard and spars for sailing.
